You are halfway toward meeting your semester goals; keep going, don’t give up, and remember that your Bryan Advisors are here to help!

Reminders from your Bryan Advisor:
  1. Fall 2017 Advising is underway; if you have not already scheduled your Fall advising appointment with your Bryan Advisor, do so TODAY! Registration windows will open soon, don’t delay!
  2. Course offerings are available for Summer 2017—ECO 100 has additional seats for Summer 2017 session 2.
  3. If you are a student planning to graduate in Summer 2017 and need to take MGT 491 during Summer 2017, you must request to be added to the MGT 491 wait list. Click here to add your name to the electronic wait list. Students who complete the form will be notified in May if they are in the Summer course.
  4. Financial Aid for Summer 2017–The Financial Aid Office will distribute funds for summer registration as available—speak with a Financial Aid Counselor for additional details about YOUR summer aid options.
  5. Now through April 20th, Bryan Undergraduate Student Services will not hold walk-in hours. Walk-in hours will resume May 2nd. Walk in hours are from 2-4 pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. *You are expected to meet with your assigned advisor in order to receive your Fall 2017 advising code. You cannot receive your advising code during walk in hours*
  6. There are options for meeting with your Bryan Advisor. Advisors welcome appointments via telephone, Google Hangout, or face to face as needed.
  7. You cannot receive duplicate credit for cross listed courses; for example, taking ENT 342/BUS 342 or ENT/BUS 340. You will only receive credit for one course not both.
    1. You cannot receive credit for FIN 200 and FIN 315. FIN 200 is for non-Business Majors.
    2. If you transferred in MGT 200, you will not be able to receive credit for MGT 300.  You cannot receive duplicate credit for a course you may need to retake in order to receive grade of C or better if you passed the class initially.
Having difficulty in a class? Here are a few tips you could consider:
  1. Speak with the Professor– schedule a one on one meeting to discuss your performance and any insight on how you can be successful in the class.
  2. Seek tutoring options where and when available.

Dates to remember:

April 14th: Last day to RSVP for the Bryan School of Business and Economics Graduation and Award Ceremony. *If you will be finishing your degree requirements Summer 2017 but plan to walk in the May Commencement Ceremony you MUST submit your application for graduation by April 14th to be included in the Ceremony program.*

April 14th: Spring Holiday — University Closed

May 2nd: Last day of classes

May 3rd: Reading Day

May 4-6, May 8-10: Final Examinations

May 12th: May Commencement-Greensboro Coliseum ** Students completing degree requirements during the summer should plan to participate in the May ceremonies, there are no August ceremonies.**
