SAS Certified Programmer
SAS certification is a great way to distinguish yourself from your peers with a prospective employer. Becoming certified requires you to pass a SAS certification exam. Particularly for economists, SAS certification is a marketable skill which often broadens entry-level employment opportunities and may increase prospective pay-scales. SAS is introduced in the undergraduate program and later developed in the MA in Applied Economics program. UNCG undergraduates may self-enroll for courses offered online by SAS which are specifically geared toward certification exams. These courses are available for free to UNCG students and exams may be taken at a significantly discounted rate. For more information about SAS and becoming a SAS Certified Programmer, please visit the UNCG ITS webpage.
