Joining the board ‘has been enormously rewarding,’ writes Rory Higgins ’11
Fellow Bryan School Alumni,
There is no denying the Bryan School’s 51st year will begin under unusual circumstances, but our exceptional problem-solvers will find innovative ways to adapt. A strong support network is now more important than ever, and it is exactly what can be found with the Bryan School Alumni Association.
While there may be uncertainty around the future of our in-person events, we can connect with our more than 26,000 alumni in new ways. Naturally, this will include more virtual engagement, which is an opportunity to bring together our alumni from all over the globe in a way that has not been done before.
As we go into uncharted territory together, I look forward to serving you as the 2020-21 Bryan School Alumni Association Board President. If you are searching for ways to volunteer, I strongly recommend serving on the board; applications open Jan. 2021.
A chance encounter led to my joining in 2014, and I have enjoyed every minute.
My path to becoming a Bryan alumnus wasn’t traditional and included a break from school. Because of that I graduated with a smaller personal network and lost contact with some of my classmates. Since joining the board, however, I have become much more involved and developed even stronger connections. It has been enormously rewarding.
I encourage you to visit our website to learn more about how you can give back. Be sure to update your contact information while you’re there, so you will receive all of the latest announcements and innovations our alumni are undoubtedly hard at work on. I’d also like to encourage you to join us on LinkedIn. For any detailed questions, feel free to contact your Bryan School alumni representative, Madeleine Carey, at email@example.com.
I am truly honored to be serving as your president and hope to meet you at our upcoming events, virtual or otherwise.
