
Dr. Yin (Jay) Li

Background
Yin (Jay) Li is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNCG. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in Finance from University of Texas at Dallas and his MS in Economics from Suffolk University in Boston. Prior to joining the UNCG faculty in 2018, he served on the faculty of City University of Hong Kong. His academic course instruction has included both undergraduate and graduate courses in business finance, investments, and security analysis and portfolio management.
Dr. Li’s research interests include corporate finance and financial intermediation. His work has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Commodity Markets. In addition, his work has received the distinction of Best Paper semi-finalist by the Financial Management Association on several occasions. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Li has also served as a referee and reviewer for several professional finance journals including the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Journal of Banking and Finance, among others.
