Background
Marketa Rickley is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She studies the antecedents and consequences of executive selection and executive team composition in multinational companies.
Professor Rickley’s research been published in the Journal of Management and Journal of World Business, among others. Her dissertation on human capital allocation in multinational companies received several recognitions, including the Emerald Best International Dissertation Award, and she was a finalist for the Best Dissertation in Strategy at the Academy of Management.
Professor Rickley teaches strategic management in the undergraduate and MBA programs at UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics.
Professor Rickley previously worked for two global financial firms – as an equity analyst and as the Finance Officer for asset management in Central & Eastern Europe. She holds a B.B.A. and MBA in Finance from the University of Iowa and earned her Ph.D. in Management from Boston University.
