Ron Shaffer serves as Lecturer in the Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics in the Department of Management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Prior to joining UNCG, he was a lecturer at North Carolina A&T State University in the College of Business and Economics. As a consultant, he has worked with a variety of businesses in the area of training and development. Some of the organizations Shaffer has structured training events for include FEMA as a part of the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort, The Institute of Advanced Learning and Research, Bridgestone/Firestone, and a multitude of small business centers. With more than 18 years of teaching experience and over 15 years of work experience, his teaching philosophy merges business concepts with real-world application. Shaffer earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and earned his Master’s Degree in Business Management at North Carolina A&T State University.
