Background
Dr. Jin Su joined the Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies (CARS) at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2016. Dr. Su holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Textile Products Design from Tianjin Polytechnic University in Tianjin, China, a Master of Science degree in Management from Renmin University of China in Beijing, China, and a Ph.D. in Textile Products Marketing from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dr. Su’s research interests include global supply chain management and global sourcing strategies in the textile, apparel, fashion, and retail industries as well as dynamics in the global textile, apparel, fashion, and retail industries and markets, brand management, sustainability and sustainable consumption.
Dr. Su has had articles appear in refereed journals including International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Strategic Outsourcing: An International Journal, Clothing & Textiles Research Journal, Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal, and The Journal of The Textile Institute. Dr. Su also co-edited a book entitled Chinese Consumers and the Fashion Market.
Dr. Su has presented papers in many national and international conferences. She has served as the Co-Chair of the Conference Abstract and Paper Review Committee for International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA), Chair of the Textile and Apparel Industries Track for ITAA annual conferences and is presently serving on the Editorial Board for the Clothing and Textiles Research Journal.
