Base Camp for MBA Early Career Professionals
The MBA “Base Camp” is a mandatory orientation for new MBA Early Career Professionals, and provides you with a series of workshops designed to prepare you for your graduate business education at the Bryan School. To hone the fundamental skills necessary to succeed in your coursework, you will attend a series of seminars on topics such as case study methodology and business research training.
Base Camp also serves as the official welcome to the UNCG MBA. You will be introduced to fellow students, professors and administrators who will play key roles in your education. With Base Camp taking place the week before the semester begins, it is a relatively calm week on campus for you to become familiar with your new surroundings and to take care of buying books, getting an ID card, picking up a parking pass and other start-of-the-semester tasks.Learn More About Base Camp

This popular one-week course is a faculty-led trip abroad to tour cultural, business and governmental sites as well as to attend lectures and roundtable discussions with local business leaders and scholars. MBA 745 takes place during Spring Break, and you will receive 3 hours of academic credit for your participation.
Over Spring Break 2019, MBA 745 is teaming up with UNC Pembroke for a trip to Prague, Czech Republic!
Studying abroad in Prague will provide on-site experience about business in the Czech Republic. This trip offers graduate students a chance to meet public officials, business leaders, and locals while gaining insight into the way business works in the country. The students will visit several companies in the public and private sectors, in diverse industries, with the intention to expose students to the way business is conducted in the Czech Republic to compare to American practices.
