Why You Should Choose the UNCG MBA

Once you decide to pursue an MBA, you must figure out which program is the right one for you. This decision can be overwhelming considering the number of ads, websites, and rankings for the wide array of available MBA programs. When it comes down to it, however, it’s really about finding the right fit for your career goals, your personal and family circumstances, and your budget. Let me tell you some of the reasons getting your MBA in North Carolina at UNC Greensboro could be the best fit for you.

What a Value

No doubt tuition and total costs are one of, if not the most, important factors for prospective students when choosing an MBA program. At the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the UNCG, we are proud to offer affordable tuition rates and many financial aid and scholarship opportunities for both early career and experienced professional students. As a state-supported public university, North Carolina residents receive  in-state tuition rates, but it’s more than just low tuition that makes UNCG a great value.

Our MBA programs provide a number of experiential learning opportunities. Students learn business fundamentals and problem-solving skills in small, diverse classes where they interact closely with faculty and the business community. In the final semester capstone course, students work in consultant teams assigned to local organizations to address a business challenge. Teams have developed marketing plans, analyzed new market opportunities, and developed strategies to launch new services.

In the Bryan School, we develop the exceptional problem solvers that businesses want and communities need. When you combine the valuable skills and experiences that lead to career advancement opportunities with the low cost of attendance, pursuing an MBA at UNCG offers a solid return on your investment.

So Many Options

Another reason to earn your MBA at UNCG’s Bryan School is the number of options to meet your individual needs. You can enroll full time or part time in the Early Career Professional MBA Program, specifically designed for individuals with limited or no professional experience.

We also offer an Experienced Professional MBA Program for individuals who are further along in their career and want to pursue their MBA part-time during the evenings. In this program, students can enroll in the fall or spring semesters and have the option of taking one or two classes per a semester. We even have an option to take a few graduate business classes before formally applying to the program if you think you want to get an MBA but aren’t quite sure.

Customized to Fit You

Not only can you choose between an Early Career Professional or Experienced Professional MBA Program at UNCG, you also can customize your MBA experience in other ways. Students can choose to pursue a concentration in finance, information technology, marketing, supply chain management, or business analytics.

If you have interests outside the regular business curriculum, you can use your elective hours to design your own course of study. Past students have added courses in health sciences or public administration. Study abroad offers another opportunity for customization. Prepare to work in the global marketplace by experiencing foreign cultures.

We want you to leave the Bryan School with a MBA that meets your individual goals, needs, and timeline.
