General admission requirements

The Master’s in Information Technology and Management (MSITM) is open to students with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Our admissions decisions are based upon your work experience, academic credentials, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.

You must submit:
› Completed Graduate School Application and $65 application fee
› Official transcripts
› GMAT or GRE* score (waiver available)
› Statement of purpose (one page, single spaced), which should describe personal goals, IT knowledge, work experience
› Three letters of recommendation from former professors or work supervisors
› Resume
› TOEFL score – for non-native English speakers (taken within last 2 years)


GMAT/GRE Waivers

Students who meet one of the following criteria may request a GMAT/GRE waiver as a part of their application for admission. A personal interview with the Admissions Subcommittee may be required.

1. A terminal/professional degree (e.g., MD, Ph.D, JD, Ed.D, or DBA) with minimum GPA of 3.0 for the degree.

2. An advanced degree (MA, MS, etc.)

a. From at least a regionally accredited institution which required an entrance exam such as the GRE or equivalent; AND
b. Minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0; AND
c. Minimum of 5 years relevant IT work experience; AND
d. A demonstration of adequate quantitative ability in form of a college-level statistics or algebra (highlight courses on transcript) with a grade of C or better.

3. A completed post-baccalaureate certificate from the Bryan School, with a GPA of at least 3.0 AND an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.

4. An undergraduate degree (BA, BS, etc.)

a. From at least a regionally accredited institution; AND
b. Minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0; AND
c. Minimum of 5 years relevant IT work experience; AND
d. A demonstration of adequate quantitative ability in form of a college-level statistics or algebra (highlight courses on transcript) with a grade of C or better.

5. Membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. BGS Membership must be noted on the application for admission and a copy of the BGS certificate must be submitted.
