Fellowships and Assistantships
These opportunities are both labor intensive and highly competitive. Students pursuing a full-time course load may receive priority consideration. It is highly encouraged that students submit their graduate program application by March 1 in order to receive full consideration for these awards.
The Bryan School seeks to attract graduate students of exceptional academic ability and talent through the Bryan Fellowship Awards Program. Recipients of these fellowships are recognized as Bryan Fellows and receive fellowship awards valued at a minimum of $2,000. These fellowships are renewable, provided the recipient maintains educational program performance standards expected of Bryan Fellows. Selection is based upon demonstrated academic excellence and potential for success in business and economics careers.
Stanley and Dorothy Frank Entrepreneurship Fellowship
The Stanley and Dorothy Frank Entrepreneurship Fellowship is a $1,000 award given annually to one entering MBA student who has experience starting and owning a business, or if no candidate meets this criterion, may be awarded to an individual who has been employed in a management-level position in a business entity and plans to begin his/her own business in the future. No application is required, and the Fellowship is renewable provided the student maintains a B grade average or higher.
The Bryan School offers graduate assistantships to full-time students in the day or evening programs. Applicants for assistantships must have been unconditionally admitted into the MBA degree program. Assistants are usually employed to assist faculty members or work in one of the Bryan School’s administrative units for as many as 20 hours per week over the nine-month academic year. In a few cases, the out-of-state tuition differential for the fall and spring semesters may be waived for applicants appointed to an assistantship.
In the event that the Bryan School is unable to offer a graduate assistantship, admitted MBA students are encouraged to search the Student Employment Office’s listings for other available graduate assistantship positions on campus.
