SAS Certifications

Posted on November 09, 2016

SAS certification is a great way to distinguish yourself from your peers with a prospective employer. Particularly for economists, SAS certification is a marketable skill which often broadens entry-level employment opportunities and may increase perspective pay scales. Becoming certified requires you to pass a SAS certification exam. SAS offers training courses specifically geared toward certification exams. For example, the exam for SAS Base Programmer Certification is based on the material in the “SAS Programming II: Data Manipulation Techniques” course.  Before taking this course, you should know the material in the “SAS Programming Introduction: Basic Concepts” and the “SAS Programming I: Essentials” courses.

Thanks to the generosity of SAS Institute, these and other courses are available for free to UNCG students, faculty and staff. For more information about SAS and becoming a SAS certified programmer, please visit the UNCG ITS webpage.
