U.S. News and World Report has recognized multiple online programs at UNC Greensboro’s Bryan School of Business and Economics in its 2021 Best Online Programs rankings, which were released Tuesday.
UNCG’s Bryan School earned high marks in the categories of Best Online Master’s in Computer Information Technology, Best Online Master’s in Business, and Best Online Bachelor’s in Business.
These online rankings credit institutions for having implemented best practices such as making use of certified instructional designers and listing specific instructor office hours. Programs also perform well in the rankings for offering technologies and services catered toward remote learners, such as incorporating learning analytics platforms and adaptive learning, as well as providing remote access to admissions counseling, resume writing, and career placement support.
“When a student chooses the Bryan School, whether online or on-campus, wherever they may be in their education or career, we want them to experience a quality, innovative curriculum,” said Bryan School Dean McRae C. Banks. “We are very proud to have been included in these online program rankings, which certainly reflect the hard work of our world-class faculty and staff.”
This edition of the U.S. News and World Report rankings featured two new undergraduate specialties, one of which was business. The Bryan School came in at No. 19 in the category of Best Online Bachelor’s in Business, rankings that were computed from Fall 2020 peer assessment surveys.
In the category of Online Master’s in Computer Information Technology, the Bryan School came in at No. 34 out of 74 schools. These institutions were noted to have strong traditional foundations based on the excellence of entering students, graduation rates, and instructor credentials.
In the category of Online Master’s in Business, the Bryan School was listed No. 72 out of 164. These institutions were noted to have the best online master’s degree programs in business that are not MBAs.
The Bryan School’s robust Online MBA program, launched in Fall 2019, will be eligible to participate in future U.S. News and World Report rankings.
