U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Online Programs rankings were released Tuesday, recognizing the UNC Greensboro Bryan School of Business and Economics’ online offerings as not only some of the best in North Carolina but in the country.

The Bryan School earned high marks in the categories of Best Online Bachelor’s in Business, Best Online Master’s in Business (Non-MBA), and Best Online MBA.

As stated by the U.S. News & World Report website, online education is no longer just an option for many students – it has become the norm. Out of necessity, virtual learning has grown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Advancements in technology, course design, high-speed internet availability and more are moving online learning forward.

In developing these rankings, four general categories were considered: engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinions from surveys of high-ranking academic officials.

This methodology favored UNCG in a few areas, particularly the Best Online Bachelor’s in Business, where the Bryan School came in at No. 1 in North Carolina (tie) and No. 30 in the U.S.

For the Best Online Master’s in Business (Non-MBA) category, the Bryan School also scored well, both as the No. 2 option in the state of North Carolina and No. 75 nationally.

The rankings also featured the UNCG MBA program, recognized as one of the Best Online MBA Programs in the country at No. 159. Launched in Fall 2019, this was the first year that the Bryan School’s robust Online MBA was eligible to participate in these rankings.

“We are very proud to be included in these online program rankings as we continue to strive to become a premier business school among regional public universities,” said Bryan School Dean McRae C. Banks. “Whether online or on campus, we will continue to foster a global mindset in our students, emphasizing innovation, organizational sustainability, and ethical decision-making through an incredible range of hands-on experiences that sets the Bryan School apart.”
