UNCG MBA FAQs
The UNCG MBA curriculum consists of 45 credit hours (15 courses, 3 credit hours each).
- Students in the Experienced Professional track may be eligible to waive the 3-credit hour internship requirement.
- Applicants with an appropriate undergraduate degree in business may be allowed to waive up to nine credit hours of specific MBA courses based on academic coursework taken in the last five years. Waivers are determined when a completed application is reviewed.
The UNCG MBA program is available both online and on-campus. On-campus courses are offered Monday through Thursday with classes meeting one night per week, usually from 6:30 to 9:20 p.m. Online courses are entirely asynchronous, meaning they can be accessed at any time.
The MBA program offers two enrollment options:
- On-Campus with Online Options
- Online Only
Yes. The MBA program offers eight concentration options including Business Analytics, Cyber Security, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, International Business, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.
The Bryan School offers two experience-based tracks:
- The Early Career Professional track for students with fewer than 5 years of professional work experience features a mandatory in-person orientation and internship.
- The Experienced Professional track is for students with five or more years of professional work experience.
Students in both tracks can apply to participate in our year-long mentorship program.
The Digital Portfolio should be a 60-second, single-take “selfie” video (not professionally produced). The admissions committee wants to learn more about who you are and why you want to enroll in the program. We recommend mentioning your academic or professional experience, your passions, and the reason you want to pursue an MBA at the Bryan School.

The UNCG MBA program application does not require GMAT/GRE scores. However, students may include test scores as part of their application if they choose. If an applicant includes test scores in their application, official score reports must be submitted.
No, the UNCG MBA program welcomes a wide range of applicants—whether you’re coming in with years of professional experience, or you’ve just earned your undergraduate degree (business or otherwise). No prior work experience is required.
Tuition and fees vary depending on your residency status, program track, and number of credit hours taken each semester. For NC residents, the estimated program cost ranges from $24,500 for online study and $27,500 for on campus with online options. For non-NC residents, the estimated program cost ranges from $61,500 for online study to $65,000 for on campus with online options.
No, there are no prerequisite courses required for the program. It is designed for students from all academic backgrounds.
Yes, the Bryan School of Business and Economics holds dual accreditation from the AACSB in both business and accounting—a distinction held by only 1% of business schools worldwide.
UNC Greensboro Graduate School also has institutional accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

UNC Greensboro and the Bryan School offer several scholarships and graduate assistantships. Please note that these opportunities are limited, highly competitive, and early application is strongly encouraged.
- Bryan School Scholarships: There is no separate application for Bryan School scholarships, and all graduate program applicants are considered. Scholarships typically range from $500 to $2,500.
- UNC Greensboro & External Scholarships: Once admitted to the graduate program, you will gain access to UNCG Scholarship Universe, UNCG’s scholarship database, where you can apply for additional scholarships.
- Bryan School Graduate Assistantships: You may indicate your interest in a Bryan School graduate assistantship from within the online graduate program application. Stipends are typically $3,500 per semester, and we do not currently offer tuition waivers. Please note that there are no fully funded positions within the Bryan School.
- UNC Greensboro Graduate Assistantships: Once admitted to your graduate program, you will become eligible to apply for other university-wide graduate assistantships (some of which may offer tuition waivers) at Spartan Talent.
Applicants can earn an application fee waiver ($65 value) by learning more about our graduate programs at a Virtual Information Session or by viewing a session recording and completing the follow up survey.
