Posted on September 09, 2019

Third year CARS PhD student, Jeff Wu, attended the Regent’s University and ITAA Joint Conference on Sustainability from July 30-August 1, 2019.  During this conference, he participated in a poster competition where he presented research mentored by Dr. Nancy Hodges and Dr. Jin Su titled “Open Costing in Apparel Sourcing: Effects on Sustainability and the Buyer-Supplier Relationship.”  This research looks at the application of open costing in the apparel supply chain and analyzes how this helps suppliers implement sustainable production practices.

Jeff was able to go to this conference due to an award he received for presenting on this research at the Graduate Research Expo on UNCG’s campus this past spring.

Congratulations Jeff!
