MS in Information Technology and Management FAQs

Yes! Students can choose from concentrations in Business Analytics, Cloud Computing & Security Analytics, Cyber Security, Generative AI for Business, Supply Chain Analytics, and Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Management.

The MS in IT & Management curriculum consists of 30 credit hours (10 courses, 3 credit hours each) including: 

  • Core Coursework: 12 credit hours (4 courses)
  • Electives: 18 credit hours (6 courses)

No, there are no prerequisite courses or undergraduate major requirements for the MS in IT & Management program. It is designed for students from all academic backgrounds.

The MS in IT & Management program application does not require GMAT/GRE scores. However, students may include test scores as part of their application if they choose. If an applicant includes test scores in their application, official score reports must be submitted.

UNC Greensboro and the Bryan School offer several scholarships and graduate assistantships. Please note that these opportunities are limited, highly competitive, and early application is strongly encouraged.  

  • Bryan School Scholarships: There is no separate application for Bryan School scholarships, and all graduate program applicants are considered. Scholarships typically range from $500 to $2,500.
  • UNC Greensboro & External Scholarships: Once admitted to the graduate program, you will gain access to UNCG Scholarship Universe, UNCG’s scholarship database, where you can apply for additional scholarships.
  • Bryan School Graduate Assistantships: You may indicate your interest in a Bryan School graduate assistantship from within the online graduate program application. Stipends are typically $3,500 per semester, and we do not currently offer tuition waivers. Please note that there are no fully funded positions within the Bryan School.
  • UNC Greensboro Graduate Assistantships: Once admitted to your graduate program, you will become eligible to apply for other university-wide graduate assistantships (some of which may offer tuition waivers) at Spartan Talent.

Applicants can earn an application fee waiver ($65 value) by learning more about our graduate programs at a Virtual Information Session or by viewing a session recording and completing the follow up survey. The UNCG Graduate Admissions Office offers application fee waivers to the following:

  • Mellon Mays UG Fellows
