If you are a new student in the UNCG MBA Program, welcome! We are excited to work with you and help you find success through this program.
A great place to start is by referencing the New Student Checklist. This Checklist is designed to help you get set up with your accounts, course registration, tuition payments, and everything else you need to do before the start of the semester.

These resources will be useful throughout your graduate experience, from tutorials on Excel and refreshers on quantitative skills, to campus and community resources!

There is usually an assignment in preparation for the first session of each class. Always check the syllabus of your course to be sure to be prepared! Check the Syllabi Directory for your class syllabus, or to preview a syllabus for a course you’re interested in.
Throughout the course of the academic year and during the summer sessions, classes may be interrupted due to inclement weather, etc. In the event that an in-person class is missed/cancelled, the MBA Program’s class make-up policy is that all make-up classes will be held on the Friday immediately following the missed class at the originally scheduled time. Please be sure to contact your instructor or the MBA Office (336) 334-5390 or mba@uncg.edu if you have questions or concerns.
Various forms, including the form to declare or change a concentration, can be found here.
Once you have met with your advisor, please submit an advisor evaluation. Advisors are evaluated once per year and your comments are important for both individual assessment and feedback on the advising process.

Because it can be difficult to devote an entire semester to study abroad, the MBA program has developed MBA 745: Experience Business Abroad, which is designed to expose you to foreign business practices and cultures. This popular one-week course is a faculty-led trip abroad to tour cultural, business and governmental sites as well as to attend lectures and roundtable discussions with local business leaders and scholars. MBA 745 takes place during Spring Break, and you will receive 3 hours of academic credit for your participation.
