If you are a new student in the UNCG MBA Program, welcome! We are excited to work with you and help you find success through this program.

A great place to start is by referencing the New Student Checklist. This Checklist is designed to help you get set up with your accounts, course registration, tuition payments, and everything else you need to do before the start of the semester.

For Experienced Professional you may attend one of the orientations below:

1. MBA Virtual Orientation – Please RSVP for Spring 2025 – Thursday, January 9, 2025 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
2. MBA On-campus Orientation – Please RSVP for Spring 2025 – Saturday, January 11, 2025 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

For Early Career Professional attendance at in-person Base Camp is required.

Advising and Registration

For New Incoming MBA Students
You will need to schedule an appointment with your advisor to finalize your course schedule and get an advising code for registration. Please call the office at 336-334-5390 or email us at mba@uncg.edu to make an appointment with your advisor! 

For Continuing MBA Students
Continuing Student Advising for Spring 2025 will take place from Monday, October 7 – Friday, November 29, 2024. Continuing students schedule advising appointments through Calendly.

The Spring 2025 Course Registration window for all continuing graduate students* takes place from Monday, November 11 – Friday, November 29, 2024.

The Summer 2025 Course Registration window for all continuing graduate students* will be announced soon.

The Fall 2025 Course Registration window for all continuing graduate students* will be announced soon.

*Continuing students who do not sign up for classes during this period may be charged a late fee by the Cashiers Office.

For a brief description of courses offered in the UNCG MBA program, please view The Graduate School Catalog.

First session of class:

There is usually an assignment in preparation for the first session of each class. Always check the syllabus of your course to be sure to be prepared! Check the Syllabi Directory for your class syllabus, or to preview a syllabus for a course you’re interested in.

Make-up classes:

Throughout the course of the academic year and during the summer sessions, classes may be interrupted due to inclement weather, etc. In the event that an in-person class is missed/cancelled, the MBA Program’s class make-up policy is that all make-up classes will be held on the Friday immediately following the missed class at the originally scheduled time. Please be sure to contact your instructor or the MBA Office (336) 334-5390 or mba@uncg.edu if you have questions or concerns.

Advisor Evaluations

Once you have met with your advisor, please submit an advisor evaluation. Advisors are evaluated once per year and your comments are important for both individual assessment and feedback on the advising process.
