The Spartan Cyber Guardian Academy (SCGA) trains students to conduct cybersecurity audits using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Under faculty supervision, students help small organizations and nonprofits improve their cybersecurity.

Spartan Cyber Guardian Academy

When Google announced a second round of $1 million grants in June to fund cybersecurity clinics at universities across the nation, only one institution in North Carolina made the cut – UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics. The grant was a significant feather in the cap for the School’s Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM), though a fitting one given its continuous innovation and desire to push curricular boundaries, not just for its more than 200 students pursuing cybersecurity concentrations, but in growing areas such as generative artificial intelligence for business and more.

Event: AI For Business 2026

The AI for Business event at UNCG features industry leaders sharing real-world insights on artificial intelligence and its role across industries. A panel of business experts will discuss current AI applications and implementation challenges. The event also includes a student competition where participants present AI-driven solutions to improve business productivity.
