MS In INformation Technology and Management

The Master’s in Information Technology and Management (MSITM) is open to students with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Our admissions decisions are based upon your work experience, academic credentials, personal statement, and letters of recommendation. Please note that application fee waivers can be earned by attending our monthly virtual information sessions!

Application Deadlines

Fall Semester:March 1 (Priority Deadline), June 15 (Final Deadline)
Spring Semester:November 15
Summer Semester:March 1 (Priority Deadline), April 1 (Final Deadline)

Be sure to submit and complete your application in full before the deadline.

Application Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • One official transcript from all previous academic institutions
  • GMAT or GRE score* (see details on waivers below)
  • Three letters of recommendation from former professors or work supervisors
  • Personal statement
  • Resume
  • TOEFL/IELTS score – for non-native English speakers (taken within last 2 years)
  • Online application and $65 application fee

Bryan Prelude

Uncertain if you’re ready for a graduate program? Try a class or two before formally applying to a program through the Bryan Prelude program. You’ll apply to study as a “Visiting Student”. Up to six hours of credit taken as a Prelude/Visiting Student may be accepted towards a master’s degree program, and up to three hours of credit may be accepted towards a graduate certificate.

GRE/GMAT Waivers

Waivers may be available for:

  1. An applicant who is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society with a minimum 3.3 GPA out of 4.0. (No waiver application is necessary. BGS must be noted on the application for admission and a copy of the BGS certificate must be submitted.)
  2. An applicant with a terminal/professional degree (e.g. MD, PhD, JD, EdD or DBA) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for this degree.
  3. An applicant with an advanced degree* which required an entrance exam such as the GRE or equivalent; AND
    1. Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0; AND
    2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT work experience (may include military service), to be determined by the Admission Subcommittee; AND
    3. Demonstration of adequate quantitative ability in the form of a statistics or algebra course at the college-level with a grade of C or better.
  4. An applicant with a bachelor’s degree*; AND
    1. Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0; AND
    2. At least 5 years of significant, progressive professional IT work experience (may include military service), to be determined by the Admission Subcommittee AND
    3. Demonstration of adequate quantitative ability in the form of a statistics or algebra course at the college-level with a grade of C or better.
  5. An applicant with at least 3 years of military experience, full-time O3 or higher or E7 or higher level;
    AND a bachelor’s degree* with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
  6. An applicant with a completed post-baccalaureate ISSCM certificate from the Bryan School, with a GPA of at least 3.0; AND
    1. Undergraduate degree* with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher; AND
    2. Must have applied for admission to the MS in Information Technology and Management degree program within 5 years of completion of the first ISSCM graduate certificate.
  7. An applicant with an undergraduate degree from the Bryan School of Business and Economics with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.3 or more.

*Students must have earned their degree from an institution accredited by one of the following agencies:

Applicants whose application meets one of these minimum requirements may be interviewed by the admissions subcommittee. ISSCM certificates include Business Analytics, Cyber Security, Enterprise Resource Planning, IT Development, IT Management, and Supply Chain Management.

A very limited number of GMAT test fee waivers are available to students facing financial hardship. Students must have applied for admission to a Bryan School graduate program and have official transcripts on file with the Bryan School Office of Graduate Admissions to be considered for a GMAT fee waiver award.
