The Bryan School of Business and Economics awards a limited number of scholarships each year. The majority of our scholarships are need-based, meaning you must have a completed FAFSA on file in which financial need is indicated. Please review information on filing a FAFSA, including priority deadlines, through the UNCG Financial Aid Office website. Your FAFSA must be received by the federal processor by the date indicated on the Financial Aid website for the upcoming academic year in order for it to be a priority application.

Graduate students will receive a scholarship application via email after they are officially admitted to a Bryan School program.

Current Students

The Spartan Scholarship System (S3) is now closed and no longer accepting new or updated applications for the 2023-2024 academic year. Only students who are selected for scholarships will be notified. Notification will come from the Financial Aid Office during the late spring or early summer.

Our Bryan School scholarship award process is very competitive. Please be aware that you must fill out both the General Application and the Conditional Application in the Spartan Scholarship System as thoroughly as possible. Some awards may or may not be renewable each year. You are required to fill out both a new General and Conditional application each year, regardless if you are currently receiving a Bryan School scholarship. All students will be notified by the Financial Aid Office via email when the Spartan Scholarship System will be open for application submission for each upcoming academic year.

*Bryan School scholarship recipients will be notified prior to the fall semester only if you have been selected for an award. If you receive a Bryan School scholarship, you are required to attend a Scholars and Donors Luncheon at some point during the academic semester and will be notified as such.

In order to apply for a Bryan School scholarship, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Show high academic merit by maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Prove financial need (for most scholarships)
• Be registered as a Bryan School student
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress per UNCG’s Financial Aid Office SAP policy
• Complete the General and Conditional Application in the Spartan Scholarship System during the indicated application submission period
