Membership in Beta Alpha Psi includes those persons of good moral character who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence in the field of accounting and who successfully complete a one-semester candidacy period.
Eligibility for Candidacy leading to Membership:
For the first semester in Beta Alpha Psi, you are a Candidate. After successfully completing the candidacy requirements, you are initiated as a member of Beta Alpha Psi. A member is then required to remain in good standing to participate in Beta Alpha Psi events, including all of its social, professional, and recruiting events in all subsequent semesters.
All candidates must participate in the tutoring lab. They are required to tutor one hour every week during their pledge semester. A total of ten hours is required. Each pledge chooses the weekly time frame to tutor that fits their schedule best.
Candidates must attend all but one of the weekly meetings (Mondays from 5:00 pm until 5:50 pm) during the semester. Students in their final semester of their program are not eligible to become candidates.
Members must attend all but one of the weekly meetings during the semester.
Members in good standing are eligible to run for officer’s positions.
