Accounting is the only business discipline for which separate accreditation is given and we have achieved placement in the top 1% of programs worldwide with accounting and business accreditation from the AACSB. We work hard to maintain the quality and continuous improvement expected from programs which have achieved both business and accounting AACSB accreditation.
Provide high-quality programs of education for accounting and finance majors at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Provide high-quality courses to support the UNCG and Bryan School educational missions as they relate accounting and finance to global processes, sustainable enterprise, innovation and ethical awareness
Stimulate and support high-quality research, scholarship, and publication
Provide service, largely through committee representation to the University, the Bryan School, the Department, the academic accounting and finance communities, and the accounting profession
Foster faculty interaction with the public in ways which enhance the common good.

A.J. Eaker spent over five years with KPMG’s audit practice in the Greensboro office, before accepting a position with UNIFI. Eaker, a certified public accountant, leads the SEC reporting, investor relations, and credit functions at UNIFI in addition to serving as the liaison for the external auditors and technical accounting matters.

Ed Evans is an audit partner with 29 years of experience in providing audit, accounting, and related services, along with general and specific business advice. He has served as the client service coordinator for clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing companies, distributors, not for profit organizations, real estate, and insurance organizations. Evans has assisted companies with coordination of international accounting work, and has experience in working with public, privately held, and private equity group clients.
Evans is a firm-designated engagement quality reviewer. He has also served as an instructor in RSM’s technical programs in auditing and accounting and has taught in local continuing professional education seminars.

Jon Glazman has over 40 years of experience serving privately held companies. He specializes in transportation businesses and other commercial entities. His practice concentrations include tax planning for corporations and their shareholders, estate and succession planning, due diligence, and IRS exams. He earned Master of Science in Accounting and B.S. Business Administration, Accounting at the University of Georgia.
Mr. Tom Hazelwood

Tom Hazelwood is an audit partner in the Winston-Salem office. For over 30 years, Tom has served a variety of clients representing a wide range of industries, including manufacturers, distributorships, real estate entities, and various other closely held companies, many of which are owned by Private Equity Groups. He has assisted clients with complex accounting issues including mergers and acquisitions.
Hazelwood also has extensive experience with not-for-profit organizations includes consultation on accounting and reporting issues of capital campaign matters, providing hands-on assistance on a variety of other accounting and auditing issues, the Single Audit Act, and OMG Circular A-133 for those organizations receiving governmental awards. He is also a frequent speaker at various not-for-profit conferences sponsored by the NCACPA.
Tom served as the Office Managing Partner of the Winston-Salem and High Point offices and is now Head of Operations and Performance for the Carolinas Region.

David is a senior manager in KPMG’s Greensboro office. He is a member of the Business Tax Services practice, the Development and Exempt Organization tax practice, and the Private Equity and Mid Market sectors. He started with KPMG in January, 2008, and has spent his entire career with KPMG in the Greensboro office.
